Close on the heels of a hard-fought season, our Calgary AA teams strive to compete at Provincials, Westerns (U14AA) and Nationals (U16AA, U19AA). Please see results below.

Alberta 2017 AA Provincials (Calgary, AB) — Feb 24-26

Hosted by Calgary AA and Zone 2 AA, this weekend was filled with intense competition and lots of cheering, with Great Plains Arena hosting most of the action. Congratulations to our Calgary teams for their incredible efforts all season. Out of six teams, four made it to the Provincial medal rounds, with three reaching Team Alberta status!! We look forward to cheering them on at upcoming Westerns and Nationals! Best of luck to all.

U14 Western Canadian Championships (Winnipeg, MB) — Mar 22-25

This year, hosted by Winnipeg, the 2017 WCRCs saw an exciting week and great games, with 10 U14AA teams competing from across Western Canada. Congratulations to U14AA Team Alberta (White) for taking it all the way, and claiming Gold and the Western Champions title!

U16 & U19 Canadian Championships (Leduc, AB) — Mar 27-Apr 1

The 2017 CRCs hosted this year in Leduc, AB, was a spectacular show of ringette talent from 45 teams across Canada. Following our U16AA’s, Team Alberta (Pace) and Team Impact, our U19AA Team Alberta (Calgary) and the NRL Calgary RATH through the week was intense, with live webcasts bringing fans right to the action. Playing twice a day for most of six RR games, by the QFs and SFs, it’s a test not only of skill and heart, but of athletic determination and focus. Team spirit always rules, regardless of outcome. Congratulations to all teams for their incredible season!

Results:

  • U16 Impact made it past RRs to the first QF, ranked 11th of 21
  • U16 Team Alberta (Pace) competed in the Bronze match and claimed 4th
  • U19 Team Alberta (Calgary) won Bronze, ranking 3rd of 16!
  • NRL Calgary RATH ranked 6th out of 8
