The Ringette Alberta Junior Coach Program is an important part of the Ringette experience for coaches and players. The purpose of the Junior Coach Program is to build the future of our sport by providing these young coaches with critical mentoring and coaching experience with the support and guidance of our qualified Head and Assistant Coaches.
Junior Coaches are also an incredible resource of positive energy and Ringette expertise for our coaches and younger athletes. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer to their teams both on and off the ice.
Why we love Junior Coaches:
We invite current or previous AA athletes in U19 or 2nd year U16 (aged 17 or under) to apply for our Junior Coach program. We will work with the head coaches of our U14AA and U16AA teams to find the best possible team assignment for you.
Are you a U14 or a 1st year U16 aged athlete? We aim to assign Junior Coaches so that they are at least 2 years older than the players they will be coaching. This is to avoid the awkward situation of coaching players who were their peers the previous season. We encourage you to connect with your home association to get involved as a Junior Coach with one of their younger divisions. We would love to see you give back to these young athletes while representing the AA Ringette Calgary program with pride!
Please complete our online application to be considered for a Junior Coach role with AA Ringette Calgary. If you already have an NCCP#, please have it handy to complete your application.
